We have two programs available. One is our Grassroots Academy for children, born in 2016 - 2020. 

The other is our Developmental Soccer League (DSL) for kids born from 2008 - 2015 (scroll to the bottom for info about DSL). 

Grassroots Academy

For Grassroots, we offer a U6 (2018 - 2020) and U8 (2016 - 2017) division. The kiddos practice 2x a week with professional MCSA staff, no games for 8 weeks of the fall.

The focus is on teaching the kids the basics of the game with the goal of them falling in love with it: no laps, no lines, just lots of movement and fun. 

Registration for Grassroots is $115. All first-time Eagles receive an MCSA training shirt. 

This 8-week session starts the week of August 14 and goes until October 8th.

Ukiah Grassroots - Pomolita Middle School

• U6 (Birth Years 2018 - 2020): Sundays 3:30 - 4:20 and Thursdays 4:30 - 5:20
• U8 (Birth Years 2016 - 2017): Sundays 4:30 - 5:40 and Thursdays 5:30 - 6:40

Developmental Soccer League (DSL)

MCSA's Developmental Soccer League (DSL) is a county-wide league for 8 to 15-year-olds (birth years 2008 - 2015). The league features teams from Ukiah, the Coast, Willits, Laytonville, and Covelo. Teams practice in their hometowns during the week. Games are on Saturdays in Ukiah, Willits, and Mendocino. 

Volunteer coaches receive professional support and guidance from MCSA staff to guide their teams. 

The growth of the new league is a part of our developmental pathway, which allows MCSA to reach more kids in our community with high-quality soccer training. Our select teams are highly competitive and compete throughout Northern California. Our 8-week grassroots training sessions are practice only for beginners - no games.

DSL allows us to provide high-quality soccer training with kids on teams while limiting travel.

The fall season starts the week August 14th, 2023, and runs through October 28th. 

Registration is $115. The registration fee covers a pre-season tournament on the Mendo Coast on August 26th!

The player's uniform is roughly $75 and features a home and away jersey. These uniforms are used for two years so you can use them next year too! They look great, and kids love wearing their Eagles gear to school! You can pay the registration fee now; a link for the uniform package will come later.
