SELECT TEAM TRYOUTS FOR 2023/24 SEASON

MCSA currently has fourteen select teams ranging in ages from U9 through U19, boys, and girls. The teams compete in NorCal Premier, which features club teams from around Northern California.

Players are coached by our professional staff and receive high-level instruction. There is a higher financial and time commitment on behalf of select team families.  

These young athletes are trained both on and off the field. While practicing two to three days a week and traveling on weekends for games. Teams have between 8 - 12 league games with half of those on the road and the other half at home in Ukiah. Many teams also participate in an occasional overnight tournament and State Cup. 

Players must show strong citizenship and academics. Our players are taught leadership, discipline, teamwork, and dedication.

Furthermore, all of our players are taught the importance of physical activity, which creates healthier lifestyle choices and promotes lifelong activity - all attributes will help them become better players, teammates, and leaders as they grow and develop.

Select teams are an exciting opportunity for local kids and a great way to grow high-quality soccer players in our area!

Do not let money get in the way of your child as scholarships are available and can be discussed after tryouts. 

Tryouts for our 2023/24 season will be at the Ukiah High School Soccer Stadium as listed below. There are two sessions per age group, both sessions are required. 

2014-16 boys and girls 

Monday, May 15th, 5:15-6:30, and Saturday, May 20th 2:00-3:15

2012-13 Boys

Tuesday, May 16th, 5:15-6:30 and Sunday, May 21st 11:00-12:15

2012-13 Girls

Monday, May 15th, 6:30 - 7:45 and Saturday, May 20th 3:15-4:30 (Saturday is at Pomolita!)

2010-11 Boys

Monday, May 15th, 6:30-7:45, and Monday, May 22nd 5:15-6:30

2008-09 Boys

Friday, May 19th, 5:15-6:30 and Monday, May 22nd 5:15-6:30

2005-2009 Girls

Friday, May 19th, 5:15-6:30 and Sunday, May 21st 3:00-4:15

2005-2007 BOYS ONLY:

• Contact Coach Felipe Chavez to attend a practice session. Experienced and highly motivated athletes only. These teams compete in high-level divisions and tournaments (Surf Cup, Premier level State Cup Competition).
